INDIGENOUS ART: A SPOTLIGHT ON NATIVE WOMEN

On view October 8-27, 2019, Spencer Museum of Art, Brosseau Center for Learning

In honor of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, this exhibition will showcase works of art that highlight the talent and vibrancy of Native American women. Featuring works in diverse media—including ceramics, basketry, beadwork, prints, and sculptures—the display highlights the diverse ways that women have inspired and contributed to Native art and culture from the late 1800s to the present day.
